Project Description

The scout troop I am scoutmaster of was asked to host the 2018 District Klondike Derby. Despite being new to the role, I said “yes” and almost instantly decided upon the theme of Star Wars. Not long after that, the idea for this patch popped into my head. I was reasonably pleased with the design. Unfortunately, when it came time to get the patches made for the event, we ran into some licensing issues due to the obvious Star Wars elements. There was some missed communication, so I wound up designing a whole new patch, but the company’s licensing department had gone ahead and made some subtle changes to get it to pass their licensing standards. The finished version isn’t what I would have liked, but I understand the problem.
