Project Description

I have wanted to have the opportunity to sit and draw in The White Mountains since my first visit there, with my family, in 1996. I have hiked and visited perhaps dozens of times over the last several years with my wife and kids, but I never had the time to draw until August 22, 2017. Before driving home, we stopped to take the short hike up Bald Peak and over to Artist’s Bluff, overlooking Canon Mountain. The wind was vicious, causing the paper of my little notebook to whip around, my eyes to water, my nose to run. It even blew my arm around, making it impossible to making anything resembling a precise line. It was a blast! I hope this is a trend that continues.

The artist finally getting some art time in the White Mountains on, appropriately enough, Artist’s Bluff.
