Project Description

I recently took my youngest two sons to Cub Scout camp for the week. While there, I was able to bust out my moleskin and a ballpoint pen and do some nature drawing. This was my last camp sketch, done on the last evening as the light was quickly fading. Most of the rest of the campers had gone home, but the older of my two sons at camp got to stay an extra night and do a transitional program to get him, and the other boys, ready for Boy Scouts. It was a great night, though bitter sweet, as I looked back at the last 3 years I spent with him at this camp, knowing that it was the last time. All the struggles and the headaches and the frustrations seem worth it to have seen him grow and mature in this setting. Next year is going to feel very different.
