INKTOBER 2023 Day #2: SPIDERS.

“Spiders are pretty interesting animals. They’re the squids of the land, I always say. I’m not the ‘burn the house down’ kind of person when I encounter spiders, but I’m also not the ‘have you met my pet tarantula Steve and would you like to see him crawl all over my face?’ kind of guy, either. I think PMD is mirroring that sentiment, here, gauging the little arachnid reactions to their new little plunger hats.
Also, there’s a lesson to be learned about not leaving your plunger sitting around unused for too long if you don’t like spiders. Spiders love plungers.
It actually took a while for me to come up with this idea. I contemplated something Spiderman related, I thought about Shellob from ‘The Lord of the Rings’, I even contemplated drawing squids on spider webs. In the end, I thought this idea was the most amusing.”
