INKTOBER 52 2023 Day #48: CHOMP.

“Okay, who knew PacMan had a dog named Chomp Chomp? I was born at the tail end of the 70s and had my formative years in the 80s and early 90s. I grew up in the early days of video games becoming a thing. I played PacMan as well as Ms. PacMan. I vaguely remember the cartoon that aired either on Saturday mornings (what a time to be alive in the 80s and 90s during the heyday of Saturday morning cartoons, or just shows that weren’t streaming on demand all the time. They were events you had to plan for and look forward to, especially when a new season was imminent. But I digress…) or weekday afternoons once school was out. I don’t remember a dog (apparently there’s a cat, too), no idea if he ever showed up in the higher bit games later.
Anyway, my mind was blank while thinking about this prompt, so I turned to Google image search and stumbled on Chomp Chomp. PMD reflects my initial reaction to the discovery, but truthfully, it’s an appropriate name that Plunger Monkey would likely approve of.”

Are you enjoying all these Plunger Monkey pen and ink illustrations? Would you like to see a whole lot more of them, all nicely packaged in book form? Then you’re in luck! You can get a copy of my art book Inklings, which collects 3 years of these pen and ink illustrations! Just follow this link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1733734716?ref_=ast_author_dp
