INKTOBER 52 2024 Week #6: COFFEE.

“I know I’m in the minority in our coffee-obsessed culture, but I don’t like coffee. I don’t understand the appeal. I don’t like the taste, don’t like the smell, and it usually gets served hot. Hot liquids are evil. I don’t care how cold it is outside, whatever I’m drinking better be colder than the air (this even applies to soup to a lesser extent. I prefer my soups to be stews: lots of chunks and less liquid. However much liquid there is should be warm, never hot, but not colder than the air, unlike drinks). Surprisingly, I did like coffee flavored yogurt when I was young. Almost too much. I’d eat multiple cups a day. I think my mom put it in my school lunches for years. It was very much a staple of my diet growing up. I hadn’t had it since I was a teen and tried it again decades later. I did NOT like it, I couldn’t understand how I ever used to eat it. Go figure.
So yeah, this prompt was a lame one for me, but I found a way to have fun with the rendering. Even if you served me a cup of fancy coffee with a PMD milk/cream art stuff going on, I still wouldn’t drink it. I might be flattered, but I’d pass it over to my wife, who actually likes coffee.”
