1 Column Classic

The last camp drawing of 2018. Maybe I'll remember to take out the (non-water damaged) moleskin a few times between now and next summer...

The waterfront gets hit with some nice lighting throughout the day. Sadly, I wasn't always able to take advantage of it.

Can't have a week at camp without drawing at least ONE pinecone...

What's the sketch equivalent of photobombing? Sketchbombing? I had a scout sneak into this one.

More table and rock! This is one of the few sketches I was starting to get really into, but I eventually became distracted, and the light kept changing through the trees.

There was some nice morning light coming through the trees in the blacksmithing area, but I became distracted and didn't quite get into this one.

I loved this tree in our campsite. I wanted to climb it, but drew it instead. If I hadn't run out of light, I would have drawn more sketches of it.

There was some cool textures, volume, and sunlight happening in this scene. Unfortunately, I didn't get as much time with it as I would have liked.

When in doubt about what to draw, look at what you're sitting on.

I fled the scorching rays of the annoying sun to a circus tent to quickly draw this post and rope combination.
