Project Description

By this point, Inktober was consuming all of my studio time each day, I just kept getting sucked into each drawing. I needed to do something a little quicker, because I was tired, so Day 20 was a tired Plunger Monkey. Again, technically still a self portrait as he is a manifestation of part of my brain. On Day 21, I decided to try combining ballpoint pen and the greyscale Copics. I liked it. On Day 22, my cat Batgirl made a guest appearance, perched on my shoulder, one of her favorite places. I like some of the fur textures I got with layering the different Copic values. I was still messing with the Copics and ballpoint. On Day 23, I had this idea, sparked by the tired PMD drawing, of me sitting down face to face with him. I’m not thrilled with the way PMD looks in this drawing, but I love the concept. It has spawned some ideas for later. By Day 24, I was still trying hard to keep things fresh with different lighting, camera angles and anything else that would add interest. I also decided on that day I was kind of sick of drawing my face.
